※To prevent overcrowding and heat-related illness, the dance is divided into three 30-minute sessions. The same songs are used in each session.
So that as many people as possible can take part, if you've already danced in one session, please kindly give up your spot to those who haven't had a turn yet. Thank you for your cooperation.

Japan's Only "Edouro" Painted Lanterns — Coming From Yuzawa, Akita to Asakusa!

The "Edouro" painted lanterns, a traditional craft passed down in Yuzawa City, Akita Prefecture, return to the Kaminarimon Bon Odori again this year. Elegant paintings of women in yukata glow softly in the lantern light, giving the venue a dreamlike atmosphere.

During the lighting period, you can view them up close along the Kaminarimon Ichinomiya Shopping Street and Namiki Dori — a great photo spot, too.
